If you love Australian golf then you would know the story about an Aussie golfing great Jarrod Lyle. Having been diagnosed with cancer three times throughout his life, Jarrod Lyle understood the hardship that young people and their family’s face then battling this disease.
Most people know the charity Challenge and what they do for family’s facing this battle, Jarrod was an ambassador for challenge and as a gift to Jarrod’s honor Challenge, The PGA and golf courses around Australia are starting the campaign #DoingItForJarrod as all proceeds will go towards the goal of helping Challenge support family’s in need.
Challenge supports children and family’s living with cancer and lightens the cancer journey for the family with assisting with piratical support 365 days of the year.
It is a great pleasure that Settlers Run Golf & Country Club will be #DoingItForJarrod as well on the Saturday the 21st September 2019.
Doing it for Jarrod Event
This is a ‘Challenge’ and Australian Golf Industry fundraising event. All Funds raised will go towards
Jarrod’s Gift – the legacy created by Challenge in honor of Jarrod Lyle.
How to play the event: An Annual event to be played as the nominated ‘Event of the day’ on 3rd
Saturday in September to be called ‘Doing it for Jarrod day’.
Cost to Enter: A gold coin donation from every player. Funds raised go to ‘Challenge’.
Condition of play: All players must wear something yellow.
Entries: Time sheet entry with a gold coin donation as cost of entry. Entries are open to Male and Female
Members of SRGCC with Official GA Handicaps.
